Choc Raspberry Peanut Butter Smoothie Bowl

Getting back into blogging has proven quite difficult with the baby. Things just keep coming up! These past couple of weeks I have been struggling with some pretty scary low blood sugar crashes. They had to do with my breast feeding and some bars I had been taking that unknowingly were lowering my blood sugar levels. The whole experience has made me quite anxious and has completely taken away my appetite, as anxiety always does. Of course that makes blogging, cooking and eating quite difficult. During this time I have been loving going down to one of my favourite healthy cafes and ordering a snickers protein bowl. For some reason its easy to eat and I think the protein content helped with my blood sugar. I wanted to come up with a smoothie bowl that mimicked the one I buy and this one has come pretty close! The ingredients are not exactly the same but the taste is quite similar.

The addition of the raspberries almost makes it look like a red velvet smoothie. Its packed with protein and antioxidants and tastes like dessert for breakfast. You can make it a little more on the watery side and just have it as a smoothie but adding toppings always helps to make the meal more filling. Enjoy!

Love your recipes…just wondering what type of chocolate/powder did you use and how much? It’s not listed in the recipe! Thanks
